Abstract

This article gives a review of some results on the interplay between root systems, Weyl groups, and the geometry of flag varieties, highlighting their connections through Schubert calculus and representation theory. The results illustrate how the cohomological and combinatorial structures arising from these objects provide a unified framework for geometric representation theory.
